Along for the Ride

Do you ever feel like you are "along for the ride"? God is in the driver seat and here we go! Sometimes I'm so excited I can hardly wait, and sometimes I'm so nervous that I can hardly breathe! I am learning new things and "going places" I could never go without Him in the driver's seat. I don't know what I will learn, but I know that I don't want it to be any different. And I'm glad that He's the one making the decisions. I will gladly follow, trusting and reminding myself not to worry. He loves me and has my best interest in mind.
And while sometimes I don't understand, and sometimes it hurts, I know that the end goal that God has in mind for me is to bring me to a place where I am like Christ. And with that goal in mind, I am willing to go wherever He leads.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

  1. I am just so glad that He is driving. This girl would of been off the deep end if it wasn't for the driver.
    Love you

  2. We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender!
    We go not forth alone against the foe;
    Strong in Thy strength, safe in Thy keeping tender,
    We rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go.
    Yes, in Thy Name, O Captain of salvation!
    In Thy dear Name, all other names above;
    Jesus our Righteousness, our sure Foundation,
    Our Prince of glory and our King of love.
    We go in faith, our own great weakness feeling,
    And needing more each day Thy grace to know:
    Yet from our hearts a song of triumph pealing,
    “We rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go.”
    We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender!
    Thine is the battle, Thine shall be the praise;
    When passing through the gates of pearly splendor,
    Victors, we rest with Thee, through endless days.

  3. If I am honest, I don't always "gladly" follow, though I agree with everything you have posted!
